no shortage of work!

Planning for spring moose calf-captures near Nome, summer camera surveys of bears at Anan Observatory, summer deployment of cameras in roadless areas on Prince of Wales Island, and fall Dall's sheep captures near Kotzebue......we're busy here preparing to staying busy!
Welcome!

The Crimmins Lab is housed in the U.S. Geological Survey-Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.  We focus on the application of quantitative methods to issues of practical wildlife management and conservation concern.  Much of our work focuses on the development of monitoring frameworks for carnivores, furbearers, and other large mammals, and the ecological impacts of predator-prey dynamics.  Feel free to browse our website to find out more information about our research and teaching.
